Rose Paving

Get to Know: Joe Kopczynski

For our second in-depth look at a Rose Paving teammate, we interviewed Joe Kopczynski, the leader of our Regional Operations Team.  Below are his answers.

1.)    Title: Director of Regional Operations

2.)    How long have you been with Rose Paving Company? 3 years

3.)    What is your favorite hobby? Grilling, fishing, and hunting with friends and family.

4.)    What was the last movie you went to see? I do not remember; it’s been that long.  I am not a movie theater guy.

5.)    What is your favorite season of the year, and why? I enjoy fall because the air is crisp and the leaves change which, to me, marks the beginning of the holidays.  In addition, the Chicago Bears start playing football!

6.)    If you were a character from Star Wars, which one would it be? If I were a character from Star Wars, I would be Chewbacca. I like how the Wookiee is loyal to his friends and he has a sense of humor throughout all of the movies.

7.)    What was the last book you read? Make the Noise Go Away by Larry G. Lime.  It’s a good book because it provides a perspective of how important the second-in-command is to an organization.

8.)    If Hollywood made a movie about your life, what song would play during the opening credits? There are too many songs to choose from during the 80’s Hair Band Era (my personal favorite).  But, if I had to narrow it down, it would be Poison’s “Unskinny Bop.”

9.)    What do you like best about working at Rose Paving? The people.  When you spend as much time as we do at work, the quality of people you work with is very important. Outside of your own family, you spend a lot of time with colleagues.  It’s the people at this company and their dedication that makes this a great company to work for.

Got a question for Joe about parking lot maintenance?  Maybe you are just looking for his 80’s hair band recommendations?  Email him here and continue the discussion!
