Rose Paving 2015 Charity & Event Recap

Rose Paving has always had a big heart and helping hands. As a result, we contribute to, sponsor, or participate in a wide-range of community endeavors each year. Each office gets involved, we have donated funds and had an overwhelming number of employees participate in events for 21 different charitable organizations in 2015.

The partial Rose Paving 2015 Charity & Event Recap list includes:

Event participation:

  • Ronald McDonald House, our sales group and clients will plan and prepare a home cooked meal for the families staying there.
  • Special Olympics World Games, our LA team became ‘Fans in the Stands’ for the Soccer athletes letting them know before, during and after how special they are.
  • The Home Depot Foundation Community Build, Managers travel to Los Angeles to help build housing for our nation’s veterans.
  • AIM High (Center for Companies That Care), Employees mentor high-school aged students throughout the year. Also participated in the March to College 5k Run/Walk.
  • Rush University Epilepsy Center, Rose Paving sponsors a ‘Night of Comedy’ with some of Chicago’s top talent and donate the proceeds to the Epilepsy Center.

Giving through donations:

  • K9s for Warriors, for the 3rd year running, we continued our ‘You Sign, We Give’ campaign. We gathered signatures at our industry trade shows and made a donation to the K9s for Warriors.
  • Printers Ball, the Steamroller Spectacular used artist’s print blocks, a Rose Paving steamroller, and the parking lot to create banner-sized collaborative prints.
  • The Cancer Support Center, which provides free of charge resources that help people improve their quality of life during the cancer experience.
  • Nature’s Farm Camp, an overnight summer camp where kids reconnect with food and nature.
  • Feed My Starving Children, our folks hand packed meals specially formulated for malnourished children.

In lieu of holiday gifts, Rose Paving donates on behalf of our clients to the following charities:

  • Maria Matters Breast Cancer Charity, which provides support and care packages to cancer patients.
  • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, whose unique mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases through research and treatment. And no family ever pays St. Jude for anything.
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
  • Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, funds research with highest probability of preventing, slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s disease. All overhead and expenses are paid by the board.

Seasonal Outreach

  • Open Books, provides literacy experiences for thousands of readers each year through inspiring programs and creative capitalization of books.
  • Toys for Tots, organized by the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve, collects new, unwrapped toys during November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
  • Brookfield Zoo’s Community Tree Trim (Chicago Zoological Society): an event that brings the community together to decorate the zoo for the holiday season.
