Overhauling a Lot on a Limited Budget
A local church called our team in to assess their aging lot and propose a solution within their budget. We drew upon our experience balancing books without sacrificing a parking lot’s structural integrity and decided to only remove and replace asphalt in two failing areas and perform a 2” asphalt overlay for the rest of the lot. The customers were thrilled with the overlay because it provided them the new look and smooth surface they wanted at a fraction of the price of a full depth removal and replacement. Freshly striped lot markings and brand new concrete bumper blocks did wonders for the lot’s visual appeal and also made it safer and more navigable for community members. Our teams turned around the project in two days, just in time for their Sunday service.

Improving a Parking Lot to Boost Business
In our more than 40 years paving lots for retailers, we’ve found and perfected our service around four best practices. A recent project in Arvada, CO, put two of those best practices to the test. A property manager of a strip mall tasked us with analyzing their parking layout to see they were maximizing their space. We added new parking stalls not just to increase the maximum occupancy but also to make parking a breeze for potential customers. Our team also improved the overall condition of the parking lot because curb appeal is essential to getting shoppers through the doors. After we used infrared asphalt repair to fix 20 failing areas, we cracksealed, sealcoated and marked the entire lot. The 20-year-old parking lot now has a fresh face and is ready to help drive more traffic to stores and improve business in the area.

Fixing Damaged Pavement to Keep Customers Safe
A busy national retailer called in our Denver crew to fix some severely damaged parts of their parking lot. Our crews got to work immediately, cleaning up dirt and leaves to identify problem areas. We then set out to remove and replace damaged asphalt and several sections of concrete curb. A prominent island needed a new curb to avoid trip hazards and also help water drainage throughout the lot. Their store sees plenty of foot and vehicular traffic throughout the day, so we completed the project in phases, sectioning off segments of the lot to maintain traffic flow and keep crews and customers safe. Before we left, we scheduled our next round of preventative maintenance for warmer weather and we’re looking forward to working with them again.
