Rose Paving Co-Sponsored the Annual Cancer Support Center “Walk of Hope”
Rose Paving proudly sponsored the Annual Walk of Hope organized by The Cancer Support Center. Early estimates conclude that more than $110,000 was raised by participants from all over the Chicago-land area, including donations from “Team Rose Paving” consisting of Rose Paving staff members and their families. The funds are used to provide free programs for people and their families fighting cancer in 70 Chicago Southland and Northwest Indiana communities.
“It is a priority at Rose Paving that we encourage participation in community events. We are grateful for the opportunity to sponsor the Walk of Hope and we enthusiastically support the extraordinary efforts of The Cancer Support Center all year long, which helps to improve the quality of life to those families stricken by cancer,” said Alan Rose, CEO.
The event took place on October 7, 2012, at Irwin Park, 18120 Highland Avenue, Homewood, IL. Walkers could choose a 1-, 3-, or 5-mile course. Over 1,000 walkers participated this year.
